Housing Units to Be Built

Ground will be broken at 3 p.m. Friday at 1808 17th St., Santa Monica, marking the start of construction of 22 affordable housing units on four sites in the city’s Pico neighborhood.
Mayor Christine Reed and representatives of the Pico Neighborhood Assn., Community Corp. of Santa Monica and other agencies will attend the ceremony. Refreshments will be served from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Emmanuel Community Church, 1631 Michigan Ave.
