BOMA Announces 3 Winners of Office Building Contest

Three winners have been announced for the annual “Office Building of the Year” contest sponsored by the Orange County chapter of the Building Owners & Managers Assn.
South Coast Plaza Town Center Office Towers took the award for the over-500,000-square-foot category. Owned jointly by C. J. Segerstrom & Sons and Prudential Life Insurance Co., the adjacent Central Bank Tower and Great Western Savings Tower were designed by Albert C. Martin & Associates.
The Marine National Bank Building, a development of the Koll Co. and located at Koll Center Irvine, won the BOMA award for the outstanding office building in the 100,000- to 500,000-square-foot category. It was designed by Gensler & Associates.
Metro Centre Fountain Valley, the third category honor for buildings under 100,000 square feet, was represented by Daum Johnstown/American and went on to win the “Office Building of the Year” award for the entire BOMA Southwest Region over other entries submitted from California, Utah, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii.
