SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. — The captain of a Yugoslav grain freighter was served Sunday with warrants charging him with negligent homicide in an accident that killed three fishermen on Lake Michigan.
The 620-foot Jablanica, skippered by Seman Franko, struck or swamped a 40-foot fishing boat with the three men aboard Aug. 20, authorities said. Two of the crewmen drowned; a third body recovered had not yet been identified as that of the other seaman.
