A Belmont man serving a six-year prison sentence for burglary has been charged with killing two boys whose bodies were found in isolated San Mateo County parks. Jon Scott Dunkle, 25, was charged with killing John Thomas Davies, 15, who disappeared from his home five years ago, and Lance Turner, 12, who was fatally stabbed in a wooded area near his school in 1984, prosecutors said. He is also suspected in the stabbing death last year of a Sacramento County boy, Sean Dannehl, 12. Dunkle gave FBI agents information that led to the discovery of Davies’ remains in Edgewood County Park in Redwood City on Oct. 4. Authorities said Dunkle also helped Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies search for two knives allegedly used in the slayings of Turner and Dannehl.
