A ground-breaking ceremony has been held for Plaza Continental, a $20-million commercial complex within Chevron Land & Development Co.’s 673-acre Ontario Center.
Auer & Associates is developing the project in a joint venture known as L-A Ontario Associates with La Solana Corp., part of the Sumitomo Group.
The 15-acre Plaza Continental site is adjacent to Interstate 10. A complex of about 100,000 square feet of space is planned, including a variety of restaurants, specialty and service stores and a 50,000-square-foot office building. Grubb & Ellis is handling leasing.
Completion is expected in the fall of 1987.
