Hoover Moves Into Top 10

SAN DIEGO — Hoover moved into The Times’ Top 10 for the first time this season after a 21-20 upset of Lincoln. Hoover (7-1) is ranked seventh.
Helix also is new to the top 10. The Highlanders, ranked eighth, beat Granite Hills last week, 14-7.
Vista (8-0) saved its No. 1 ranking by rallying from a 10-0 fourth quarter deficit to beat Mount Carmel, 14-10.
