Dome Leads USIU to Win in Volleyball

SAN DIEGO — Nancy Dome of United States International University had seven straight aces in the second game Tuesday in a 15-6, 15-1, 15-13 victory over USD in a West Coast Athletic Assn. volleyball match.
USIU’s Renan Komurluoglu led all hitters with 13 kills. Cyndy Kuhter and Dome added 10 kills. USIU is 6-2, 17-13 overall. USD is 0-8, 0-17.
UCSD, No. 3 in the nation in Division III, beat Point Loma Nazarene, 15-5, 12-15, 15-8, 15-1, at Point Loma. Janet Hughes had 11 kills and 5 solo blocks and Carol Lipson had 7 kills and 6 aces for USD. Kim Stonecipher collected 33 assists.
