Dental Work

Recently I had to inform an out-of-work, decorated Vietnam veteran that he was not entitled to much-needed dental care from the Veterans Administration because he did not suffer dental trauma in service. Nor was he totally (100%) disabled. The fact that he lost a leg and an eye when he stepped on a land mine still doesn’t make him eligible.
So you can imagine my revulsion when I saw a smiling picture of Night Stalker defendant Richard Ramirez (Times, Nov. 4) and read of the dental work he received while in jail. Paid for by taxpayers, of course. Small wonder so many of our veterans are disillusioned.
