A man who spelled out “Bang! Bang!” on a demand note robbed a Huntington Beach bank and escaped with nearly $2,000, police said. The note the bandit handed a teller, according to Police Lt. Chuck Poe, said “Place all your cash on the counter. Move wrong and this turns ugly. Bang! Bang!” No weapon was displayed during the 2:50 p.m. robbery, Poe said. The man was described as being in his late 20s, about 5 foot, 11 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He escaped in a gold Toyota or Datsun station wagon driven by a woman, police said.
