Wheaton May Accept Male Students in ’88

NORTON, Mass. — Wheaton College announced Friday that it may drop its women-only policy after 153 years and accept male students, beginning in the fall of 1988.
The plan awaits final approval in May by the trustees of the private liberal arts college, 35 miles south of Boston.
