MIDDLETOWN, Northern Ireland — An Irish nationalist guerrilla was today found shot dead on the Northern Ireland border, the latest victim of a bloody internal feud in the extremist Irish National Liberation Army.
Police said Anthony McCluskey was abducted from his home Wednesday night and driven in his own car to a remote border road where he was bound, gagged and shot in the head at close range. He was known to be a close associate of INLA leader Dominic McGlinchey, whose wife, Mary, was shot dead in front of her two young sons in Dundalk in the Irish Republic last weekend.
