Canada Plans Boycott to Back U.S. Farm Workers

TORONTO — A Canada-wide boycott of A and P and Dominion grocery stores in support of California grape workers was announced at a Toronto rally by Cesar Chavez, president of the United Farm Workers of America.
Chavez told the Saturday rally that grapes are grown with dangerous pesticides, which are threatening the health of California farm workers. A and P and Dominion are the two largest buyers of California grapes in Canada.
