The Pasadena Board of Directors has approved Huntington Hospital’s plans to build a new three-story main hospital and a psychiatric hospital across the street from its facility on Congress Street. The two new buildings, totaling 233,000 square feet, will be the first phase of the hospital’s plan to replace some of its older buildings and expand its current facilities.
The hospital plans to build 733,000 square feet of new facilities over the next 40 years. Construction on the new main hospital is expected to begin this spring and be completed in 1989.
