DeHart’s Shot Wins for UCSB, 53-52

GOLETA, Calif. — Carrick DeHart hit a 15-foot jumper with four seconds remaining Thursday night to lift UC Santa Barbara to a 53-52 victory over San Jose State in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. basketball game.
San Jose State’s Gerald Thomas was then fouled on a drive with no time remaining but missed the front end of a 1-and-1.
Brian Vaughns scored 13 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead UCSB (12-11 overall, 7-7 in the PCAA).
