A Wayne County court in Michigan has issued a temporary restraining order preventing the International Boxing Federation from stripping Thomas Hearns of his No. 1 contender status in the middleweight division.
Attorneys for Hearns, a Detroit native, filed a lawsuit Wednesday asking the court to prevent the IBF from taking any action until a June 12 hearing.
