Oil Can to Pitch for Pawtucket Monday

BOSTON — Boston’s Dennis (Oil Can) Boyd, sidelined all season by pain in his right shoulder, was sent to the Red Sox’s International League team at Pawtucket, R.I., Friday and is scheduled to pitch at Syracuse Monday.
Boyd, who had a 16-10 record last season, threw 100 pitches, 85 to hitters, in a workout Thursday.
