Independent counsel Lawrence E. Walsh subpoenaed two more Israelis involved in the Iran-arms case, provoking anger in Tel Aviv, a government official there said. The official, who demanded anonymity, said that subpoenas were issued to Amiram Nir, the prime minister’s adviser on counterterrorism, and Yaacov Nimrodi, a private arms dealer. Two other Israelis were subpoenaed earlier. A senior Israeli official said that the earlier subpoena for Al Schwimmer, Israeli businessman, violated a U.S.-Israeli agreement on how Israel’s role in the Iran-arms affair would be investigated.
