GETTY ART TRUSTEE GETS MUSEUM AWARD

Otto Wittmann, trustee of the J. Paul Getty Trust and chairman of its art acquisitions committee, has received the 1987 Award for Distinguished Service to Museums. The award, considered the nation’s highest honor in museum circles, was accorded this week at the annual meeting of the American Assn. of Museums in San Francisco.
Wittmann is also director emeritus and vice president of the Toledo Museum of Art.
