Veteran Actor Grandon Rhodes Dies

Grandon Rhodes, a veteran character actor seen by millions as the doctor and judge, respectively, in television’s “Bonanza” and “Perry Mason” series, has died in Encino.
He was 82 when he died at his home on June 9.
With his late wife, the actress Ruth Lee, he appeared in several New York stage productions including “Three Men on a Horse,” “The Night of January 16th” and “I Remember Mama.”
His motion picture career began in 1944 with “Follow the Boys” and over the years he was seen in “The Magnificent Doll,” “Ride a Pink Horse, “ “Walk a Crooked Mile,” “Born Yesterday” and “The Bramble Bush.”
