The man who rammed the gates of the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia and took seven hostages while President Reagan and two Cabinet members were on the course four years ago will be released from prison this week, officials said. Charles R. Harris, 48, of Appling, Ga., will be released Thursday from the Coastal Correctional Institute in Savannah, a prison spokesman said. Harris, who has served 3 1/2 years of a 10-year sentence for kidnaping, false imprisonment and criminal damage to property, will remain under parole supervision until January, 1989.
