The California Transportation Commission has allocated $27.5 million for several construction projects related to the Century Freeway in the Paramount area.
Work is scheduled to begin in March, 1988, on bridges, embankments and frontage roads connecting the Century and Long Beach freeways. This is the first phase of work on a planned interchange between the two freeways.
Approximately 30% of the 17.3-mile Century Freeway, which starts in Norwalk and ends at Los Angeles International Airport, has been completed or is currently under construction. Completion of the $1.8-billion freeway is expected in 1993.
