Andrew Toney, Philadelphia 76er guard, had several large spurs removed from his right ankle and foot. Toney, 29, has five years remaining on his seven-year, $4.75-million contract. He was one of the National Basketball Assn.’s best shooters, averaging a career-high 20.4 points a game in 1983-84, before being slowed by foot problems.
