ARLINGTON, Va. — The eternal flame at President John F. Kennedy’s grave at Arlington National Cemetery was doused by heavy rain and relit about five minutes later.
Tourist Mike Korich said Monday that, when he and a friend got off a tour bus at the cemetery Sunday and approached the grave site, they saw only the flame’s smoldering remains.
Security personnel herded away about 20 visitors, and Korich said he was not allowed to take pictures.
