Don Williams Named AST Vice President

Don Williams has been named senior vice president of AST Research Inc.’s Personal Work Station Enhancement Group, which makes computer accessories. He replaces Jim Orris, who has left the company.
Williams is the second senior vice president to be assigned authority for an entire AST product group. James Ashbrook earlier was named head of the data communications group.
Williams was previously senior vice president of worldwide manufacturing. Before that he was general manager of AST Research (Far East) Ltd. Williams has also held management positions with Beckman Instruments, Notifier Corp. and Collins Radio Co.
