Brea : Chino Couple Killed in Motorcycle Crash

A Chino couple died early Sunday after their motorcycle ran off Carbon Canyon Road, struck a guardrail and then crashed into a utility pole, authorities said.
William Michael Blum, 31, the driver, was declared dead at the scene, Brea police said. His wife, Sarah R. Blum, 29, was airlifted to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police said the Blums were westbound on Carbon Canyon Road, traveling at an unknown speed about 2 a.m., when Michael Blum apparently lost control of the motorcycle just east of Olinda Drive, police said.
Neither was wearing a helmet, authorities said.
