The City of San Diego will greet fans at Super Bowl XXII on Jan. 31 with a rolling public art exhibition. Twenty-five transit buses will carry reproductions of original paintings by five local artists throughout the month of January.
The painters and five local muralists who will create temporary works for yet-undesignated sites, will be chosen by the City Council’s Public Arts Advisory Board.
Deadline for interested artists is 5 p.m. Nov. 9. Three slides of current work should be submitted to the Public Arts Administration Office, Room 10 of the Conference Building, Balboa Park.
