The Philadelphia Eagles acquired tight end Jimmie Giles from the Detroit Lions in return for an undisclosed 1988 draft pick.
Giles, an 11-year veteran from Alcorn State, has not played much this year, catching 6 passes for 62 yards and no touchdowns. He will join the Eagles for Sunday’s home game against the Washington Redskins, a spokesman said.
