Mission and Mansion: a Contrast in Values

How gross to read about Merv Griffin and his 157 acres he just purchased in Beverly Hills. According to the article, Merv is building a 24,000-to-25,000-square-foot house of marble and limestone.
The mile-long, four-lane road leading from the main gate to the main house sounds like a mini-freeway.
How Merv can brag about this monstrous excess when there are so many homeless people in Los Angeles, is inconceivable. Hopefully, the homeless won’t read the article. Oh, I forgot, homeless people can’t have home-delivered newspapers.
If Merv reads my letter, I hope he can sleep nights.
