The host of the TV show couldn’t get a word in edgewise Saturday when Robin Williams, Billy Crystal, Dudley Moore and John Larroquette appeared as guests during a special taping of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” at Budd Freeman’s Improv on Melrose Avenue. The four comedians--with Williams and Crystal ringleading--bantered, quipped, joked, one-lined and otherwise mugged before an enthusiastic audience, while the most Winfrey could interject for most of her show was the occasional “We’ll be right back” before commercial breaks. The Winfrey installment will air this week (producers couldn’t be sure exactly which day). The four funnymen appeared to promote “Comic Relief”--a TV special featuring comedy and serving as a fund-raising event for the homeless--airing Nov. 14 on Home Box Office.
