Long Beach : Club’s License Expanded
The Long Beach City Council has approved an expansion of an entertainment license for Hacienda Magallanes, known as the Club Sylvia under previous ownership.
The club at 6101 Cherry Ave. was granted permission to have entertainment on Sunday nights and holidays, in addition to the current Friday and Saturday nights. And the bands will be allowed to play an hour longer, until 1 a.m., instead of the current midnight restriction.
Vice Mayor Warren Harwood, once critical of noise and parking complaints when the bar was operated as Club Sylvia, said he approved of the additional entertainment hours, subject to a review in six months.
