Colorado Rallies, Beats USD in Volleyball

Susan Magda had 15 kills to help the University of Colorado rally to beat host University of San Diego in a nonconference women’s volleyball match Thursday night.
Colorado won, 1-15, 15-6, 12-15, 15-12, 15-7, to improve its record to 8-17.
Kris Mitchell had 16 kills and Jody Conners had 14 for USD (5-16).
Top-seeded UC San Diego will play Menlo College at 7:30 tonight in the NCAA Division III West Regional semifinals at UCSD’s Triton Pavilion. UCSD (27-4) received a bye in the first round. Menlo (27-13) defeated Pomona-Pitzer, 15-10, 6-15, 12-15, 15-11, 15-4, Thursday night.
No. 2 Colorado College (26-7) will play Cal State San Bernardino (36-7) in the other semifinal at 5 p.m. San Bernardino beat LaVerne, 6-15, 15-3, 18-16, 15-9, Thursday.
