Trying to Redefine Rock

Just one word leaped to my mind when I read your appeal for a new term to define the adulthood of rock.
To my mind, jazz has always been the broadest form, incorporating all the moods and elements of music. Jazz is distinctly an American blend of diverse moods and motivations.
Therefore, my submission for the new rock is . . . Razz.
