Body of Baby Discovered in Bag

The body of a newborn boy was found inside a shopping bag along an access road leading to the Simi Valley landfill Tuesday morning, police said.
The child appeared to have been delivered after a full-term pregnancy, authorities said.
Garbage workers found the body as they were making a routine sweep for garbage strewn along the road about 7:45 a.m., said Simi Valley Police Sgt. Bob Gardner. An autopsy is pending.
