UCLA Women Trounce Northern Arizona

Forward Sandra Van Embricqs scored 15 points and had a game-high 7 rebounds, and guard Jaime Brown added 15 points to lead the UCLA women to a 77-37 win over Northern Arizona in the consolation semifinals of the Wahine basketball tournament at Honolulu.
UCLA trailed, 4-3, then outscored the Lumberjacks, 16-1, and were never threatened. The Bruins’ defensive pressure caused Northern Arizona (0-2) to turn over the ball 37 times. UCLA had 15 turnovers.
In today’s consolation final, UCLA (1-1) will play California, which defeated Oklahoma, 81-66.
