A 48-year-old Whittier man was arrested Sunday in the death of a man found shot on a Tujunga street corner, Los Angeles police said.
Roland Tagle was arrested on suspicion of murder at his Whittier home about 7 a.m., police said. Tagle was one of two assailants involved in the shooting of John J. Freshour of Tujunga at 9:25 p.m. Saturday, police said. The other man is still being sought.
Freshour, 31, was shot repeatedly in the upper body at the corner of Mt. Gleason Avenue and Summit Rose Street.
He died about three hours later at Pacifica Hospital in Sun Valley. Police said the shooting was believed to be in retaliation for an argument Freshour had earlier with an acquaintance of the gunmen.
