Detroit’s Isiah Thomas has been fined $3,000 and New York’s Patrick Ewing and Sidney Green have been fined $1,500 and $1,000, respectively, for their roles in an altercation during the Pistons’ 124-96 victory over the Knicks last Saturday.
According to Rod Thorn, NBA vice president of operations, Thomas was fined for initiating the altercation, Green for retaliating and Ewing for joining the altercation.
Six other Pistons--William Bedford, Ralph Lewis, Ron Moore, Chuck Nevitt, Dennis Rodman and John Salley--drew $500 fines for leaving the bench.
