THE PREPS : George Sparks Mater Dei To Soccer Tourney Final

Sam George scored three goals in two games to lead Mater Dei High School into the final of the South Bay Soccer tournament at South Torrance High School.

George scored two goals in the Monarchs’ 2-1 victory over Rolling Hills in the quarterfinals. He scored one goal and Paul Oldham two in a 4-2 victory over Torrance in the semifinals.

Mater Dei (7-0) will face West Torrance in the final today at 3. The teams played to a 1-1 tie in the Southern Section 4-A championship game last year.
