2nd Bouquet Bomber Conviction

SAN FRANCISCO — Millionaire landlord Peter Pilaski, 53, was found guilty today on all counts in connection with a bombing attack on his estranged wife, who was injured by explosives hidden in a bouquet of dried flowers.

A federal court jury found Pilaski guilty primarily on the testimony of Shaun Small, 28, his former employee and alleged lover who was convicted earlier of delivering the bomb and said he was following Pilaski’s orders. Melanie Pilaski, 42, and a co-worker were cut and burned in 1986 when a black-powder bomb exploded inside a flower basket that had been delivered to a U.S. General Services Administration office in downtown San Francisco. Small had delivered the bouquet, wearing a garish bellhop’s costume, heavy makeup and a wig.
