Fox Broadcasting, eager to maintain any kind of ratings success, asked Johnny Carson’s production company to continue to churn out episodes of “Mr. President,” but Carson--mindful of the $200,000 he loses on each episode of the George C. Scott-Madeline Kahn series--said no. According to reports published Thursday in Daily Variety, an investment banking firm is taking the series off Carson’s hands.
