Cudahy : Pool Ceremony Set Feb. 28

State Sen. Bill Greene (D-Los Angeles), whose 27th District includes Cudahy, will be honored at a ground-breaking ceremony Feb. 28 for the city’s first swimming pool.
Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley has been invited to attend the 5 p.m. ceremony and catered dinner at Lugo Park, a two-acre, city-owned site where an outdoor Olympic-size pool is scheduled to be constructed.
Cudahy is honoring Greene for his efforts to help raise more than $300,000 to pay for the pool. Construction is expected to start in March.
