Kennedy Girls’ Streak Helped by Blast From Past
- Share via
The streak built by the Kennedy High girls’ basketball team keeps growing--at both ends.
With nine consecutive Valley League victories this season, the Golden Cougars extended their league streak to what was thought to be 99 games. But while the players advanced the streak in the present, former Coach Craig Raub has worked on the past.
Raub, who coached the Golden Cougars to 90 consecutive league wins before turning over the program to Toya Holiday this season, has discovered that Kennedy was 10-0 in league play under his predecessor, Eddye Rambo.
That gives Kennedy (13-6) a 109-game streak going into tonight’s game at 7 against El Camino Real (13-4, 8-1).
