Local News in Brief : Health Research Grants up to $1,500 Available

The Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Health Foundation in Valencia will provide grants of up to $1,500 for research that advances medical knowledge, the health care delivery system or community health education programs.
The application deadline is March 15.
The foundation’s research and education fund has provided the grants to organizations and individuals of any age for the last two years. The grants range from $500 to $1,500, and up to three may be awarded each year, said Louis Meisinger, research and education fund chairman.
Applications are available by calling the foundation at (805) 253-8082. Winners will be announced April 15.
