Southern Section Playoffs Continue Tonight

The Southern Section 5-A basketball playoffs move into the quarterfinal round tonight with three of the four seeded teams still alive.
No. 1 Bishop Amat of La Puente (25-2) meets Long Beach Jordan (14-11) at Lakewood High; No. 2 Millikan of Long Beach takes on St. Bernard of Playa del Rey (19-7) at Loyola Marymount, and No. 4 Ocean View of Huntington Beach faces Lakewood (18-9) at Millikan.
In the fourth game, Edison of Huntington Beach (17-10), which upset St. Anthony of Long Beach in the first round last Thursday, plays Mater Dei of Santa Ana (18-7) at Huntington Beach.
All games are scheduled to begin at 7:30.
