Largemouth Bass Records Fall at 2 Lakes

Spring is coming, and big largemouth bass are getting active at many Southland reservoirs.
San Diego’s Miramar Lake, known primarily for its trout fishing, yielded a lake-record 19-pound 8-ounce largemouth to Keith Gunsauls of El Cajon.
A lake record fell at Ventura County’s Lake Cachuma as well. James Sterling of Los Angeles landed a 14-pound 10-ounce largemouth, topping the previous record of 14 pounds 6 ounces.
