WASHINGTON — President Reagan and his wife, Nancy, chose to celebrate their 36th wedding anniversary Friday with “a quiet, romantic evening at home” in the White House, a spokeswoman said.
The Reagans exchanged cards but no gifts, Wendy Weber said. They usually go to the presidential retreat at Camp David, Md., on Friday for the weekend but they stayed in the White House for their anniversary.
The Reagans were married on March 4, 1952, with the late actor William Holden as best man and Ardis Holden as matron of honor.
