‘Cradle’ Will Fill Slot in S.D. Rep Lineup

SAN DIEGO — The question mark in the second slot of the San Diego Repertory Theatre’s seven-play season has been replaced with “The Cradle Will Rock,” a 1936 musical by Mark Blitzstein that will play on the Lyceum Stage June 29-July 23. It will follow “The Mystery of Irma Vep,” May 18-June 11, also on the Stage, and will be followed by “The Colored Museum,” July 27-Sept. 3 in the Lyceum Space. Other works on the Rep’s schedule are “Red Noses,” Aug. 10-Sept. 3 on the Stage; “Heathen Valley,” Sept. 21-Oct. 29 in the Space; “Glengarry Glen Ross,” Oct 5-29 on the Stage; and “Burning Patients,” Nov. 16-Dec. 23 in the Space. The Rep’s annual “A Christmas Carol” will play Dec. 3-28 on the Stage, but not as part of the subscription season.
