Following are reviews for the American Film Institute Film Festival. All screenings are at the Cineplex Odeon Century Plaza Cinemas .
‘Train of Dreams’
Canada, 1987, 90 minutes , 5:45 p.m . A modern “Rebel Without a Cause”--tough, urban, unromantic and confused. The story of a 17-year-old from Montreal’s working class who lands in juvenile correction after a botched petty robbery, the material is presented as real and, at first, appears understated and bland. However, the underlying drama and passion sneaks up on you organically and packs quite a wallop. RECOMMENDED.
