Mike Franklin was named vice president of loan originations for the Hammond Co., a Newport Beach mortgage firm. His duties will include overseeing the operations of the company’s 25 loan-origination offices, supervising regional managers and training new loan representatives and management personnel. Franklin joined Hammond seven years ago as a loan representative for the San Diego branch, and most recently was a regional manager for the Hawaii, San Diego, Arizona and New Mexico offices.
