Justice Brennan Injures Head

WASHINGTON — Justice William J. Brennan Jr., the Supreme Court’s oldest member, was absent from the court today, recovering from an injury to his head that required stitches. An aide to Brennan, 82, said he cut his head Thursday night but added that she had no other information about what happened or how many stitches the wound required. “He’ll be back at work Tuesday,” she said.
