A former Fresno elementary school principal was sentenced to an eight-year prison term for child pornography and molestation. Loren Ebersole pleaded no contest to 11 felony and 17 misdemeanor counts of videotaping girls when they were undressed and of touching the breasts, buttocks and genitals of some. Fresno Superior Court Judge Steven Vartabedian also ordered Ebersole to pay a $5,000 fine. In a court statement the 56-year-old defendant accused the prosecutor of inflating the charges against him but said: “What I did was wrong. To the victims and their families, my earnest prayer is that you will be healed.” Several victims and their mothers left the courtroom sobbing.
